Happy Tuesday everyone!
Only a few days until Thanksgiving! I typically wait to deck-the-halls until the day after Thanksgiving, but I was super early this year (like a lot of people) because I was extra anxious for the happiness of Christmas time!
I love how warm our dining room feels with the green walls, and the added texture of the little flocked trees and candle light. Most of my seasonal decor pieces like my pumpkins, and flocked trees were from Target’s Dollar Section this year. Luckily they have a lot of that section available on their website so I linked what I could find above. I’ve had my dried Baby’s Breath up since summer and I love the texture it adds to a space no matter what season it is. It’s such an inexpensive flower and lasts forever!
My design tip for you that I tried to apply to this section of the house is to use layers and work in threes. Working in threes is a pretty basic design rule that helps give dimension and interest to each section. I like pairing natural elements like wood, florals, and pine with mixed metals like the gold picture frames and hammered metal candle. The more you mix and match different heights and textures the cozier your space will feel.
It’s only going to be Elliot and I for Thanksgiving this year so this is very possibly what I’ll be wearing. Definitely going to be keeping it super cozy this year and it doesn’t get much comfier than an oversized sweater dress and Ugg boots. 😉 I found mine at TJ Maxx but I liked a bunch of similar ones above for you! My advice to you for whatever cozy outfit you’re going with is to pair it with a red lipstick that will last all day! You’ll look festive and put together with very minimal effort, which is always the goal! My favorite is the Stay All Day Stila Liquid Lipstick which is also linked above.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy whatever friends and/or family you are able to spend it with.
Wishing you hope & happiness,
